Church Keyboard Musician

Reports To: Worship Leader / Minister of Music
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and spiritually grounded keyboard player to support our worship ministry. This individual will help create an engaging and meaningful worship experience by providing musical support for both contemporary and traditional styles. The ideal candidate plays by ear, works well with a live band, and demonstrates a genuine love for the Lord and commitment to ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide keyboard accompaniment for Sunday morning worship services
- Attend and actively participate in weekly rehearsals (Thursdays)
- Collaborate with the worship team to support both contemporary and traditional worship styles
- Follow chord charts or play by ear as needed during rehearsals and live services
- Adapt quickly during live worship and follow musical direction as needed
- Maintain a high level of musicianship, timing, and sensitivity to the flow of service
- Be punctual, prepared, and consistent in attendance
Qualifications
- Proficient keyboard player with the ability to play by ear
- Experience in church or live worship settings
- Comfortable playing a variety of styles (gospel, contemporary worship, traditional hymns)
- Ability to play chords, progressions, and basic fills confidently
- Strong sense of timing, harmony, and dynamics
- Ability to work well with a team and follow leadership
